A New Era for SoE
From the Officers of SoE:
At this time we wish to recognize the core of SoE raiders, each regularly demonstrating the qualities required of a progression raider; to each of you, the SoE officers extend respect and gratitude - we salute you.
We now call attention to key words in the SoE Mission Statement: "...advance through progressively challenging raid content". SoE's primary goal is and has always been raid progression.
Thus the reality cannot be denied: SoE is failing its primary mission.
Every tier of Cataclysm has been a struggle, a disappointment, a frustration. Raiders who've been with SoE since at least WotLK are accutely aware 25-man raid progress this expansion has been nil.
The result of 3 failed tiers is death by a thousand cuts. It's fruitless to enumerate the myriad hobblings and no good is served in doing so. That being said, let us extend one noteworthy fact: the SoE raid has been reduced to raid leaders having to call out the most fundamental of actions - press that button now - or a wipe follows; this is not the stuff of progression raiding.
Henceforth the SoE 25-man raid is dissolved; from its remains a 10-man phoenix shall arise to honor the mission of SoE.
SoE shall continue to stand and all are welcome to remain. SoE shall continue to provide guild repairs and Ventrilo. Nothing shall prevent additional 10-man groups from operating under the aegis of SoE, however, such must arise by your hands as no officer can or will expend the effort required to coordinate multiple 10-man raids.
We invite you to address comments and concerns in the forums; please refrain from addressing such to officers in-game - Azeroth should be a carefree, rather than bothersome, place to be.
Kind Regards and Best Wishes to All,
Strangle, Cheyhawkxas, Easywayout, Polliwogs, Sarlia, Ayzee

Sysadmin fail
Yay for a radically different new server architecture.
Anyways all hiccups should be over, took a little time to massage new paths into the database and simplifying/cloning some conf files for nginx. It does seem snappier now though eh? And hopefully no more of those silly trojans from shared hosting.
Post a comment if there is still some weirdness you come across.

Who needs a GM?

Well done raiders. Lots of hard work and time went into this kill. Now time for heroics! Please read and prepare, especially gunship.
